This night felt like all the stars aligned.
The lockdown had finally been lifted (again). I was about to reunite with my best friend for the first time in months. The afternoon storm cleared into a perfect, romantic golden hour. Everything was falling into place.
There's something so special about Photographing people who are near and dear to my heart. While I love meeting and connecting with new clients, this extra layer of comfort and nostalgia allows me to capture some deep, intimate moments. We each cracked a drink once we got to the farm (not pictured is my husband, and James' newest best friend, who is always ready with a social beverage) and spent the evening pining over the warm sky, green grass and growing wildlife; summer had finally arrived, and it felt like such a celebratory night after another long, (extra) cold winter on Lake Huron.
We made our way around the property, stopping at every new blossom and piece of nature along the way. I love spending time with Carley for many reasons, but mostly because her happiness is intoxicating. It's impossible to be in a poor mood in her presence (well, maybe I'm a little bit bias).
