USE THIS CHECKLIST TO PREPARE FOR YOUR FAMILY SESSION

☐ Pre-plan your outfits to avoid last minute stress. I recommend neutral tones (cream, white, beige, brown, black) or earth tones (green, mustard, rust). Wear something you can move comfortably in and feel confident in. Feel free to send any questions or ideas my way!

☐ BONUS TIP: Bring an extra outfit for your littles (just in case).

☐ Try to choose a location that your kids enjoy. If they love the beach, let's go splash around and play in the sand. If they prefer being at home, let's book a lifestyle session. My goal is to capture your family documentary style: exactly as you are in real life.

☐ Pack a bag of snacks, water, walking shoes, blankets, etc. Whatever is necessary to keep your littles comfortable for the hour.

☐ Pack anything you'd like to include that makes your family unique - a game you love to play together, a momento or keepsake, etc.

☐ Don't be afraid of bribery. If you promising your littles a treat after the session is going to get them through, I'm happy to roll with that.

☐ Adjust your expectations. Kids love to play. They do not love to stand and pose for a photographer for an hour - and that's okay. Candid moments are authentic moments. The shots of you snuggling, tickling, or playing with your children will be the photographs that you cherish, so I just want to hang out with you and document what's real to your family.

USE THIS CHECKLIST IF YOUR SESSION IS INDOORS

☐ Choose the most well-lit room in the house to base your session around. Open all curtains, book during hours when the sun is out, and don't be afraid to move things around to create your "perfect space."

☐ Clean any rooms or spaces you'd like to use. Any extra clutter will take away from your photos.

☐ Don't stress about having a "Pinterest-worthy" room. These photos are not supposed to be Pinterest-worthy, they are supposed to represent you and your family.
